Course Aim
The purpose of this training course is to meet the specific needs of government and security business sectors in training key personnel in IED and IID recognition with a strong emphasis on the threat from terrorism. As well as giving the student a thorough understanding of the threat from the of IEDs to the industry that they work in, they will also learn how to react safely in the event of detecting a suspicious item. The course carries a nationally recognised Skills for Security certificate for those students successfully completing and passing the assessments and examination.

Course duration
The course will run for one (1) full day with appropriate comfort breaks and lunch.

Training Aids
As part of our Weapons Awareness and Recognition Programmes, PS5 can supply information on Improvised Explosive Devices (IEDs) photographic images, component parts and X-ray correct training models.
